Course A : Motor behaviour and nervous system

Licence 1st year

The hierarchical organization of the central nervous system is dealt with, in connexion with its functional role for different types of motor behaviour.

Keywords: central nervous system, cortical and subcortical structures, brainstem, cerebellum, spinal cord, motor skills.

Course B : Sensory integration and perceptual processes

Licence 2nd year

Issues related to multisensory integration processes are discussed and related to the emergence of perception, also subjected to cognitive modulations.

Keywords: senses, integration process, multisensory, perception, cognitive expectations and experience.

Course C : Lifespan development of sensorimotor skills

Licence 2nd year

This course aims at providing the basics of sensorimotor development from the first embryonic stages to the aging consequences.

Keywords: growth, maturation, differentiation, flexibility, plasticity, postural and locomotor skills, visuomotor integration, coordination, sensorimotor aging.

Course D : Spatial orientation and disorientation

Master 1st year

Up-to-date theories related to the neuropsychological processes underlying the perceived orientation and disorientation in space are presented and illustrated by different spatial illusions mediated by specific sensory and cognitive cues.

Keywords: multisensory integration, spatial illusions, gravito-inertial perturbations, perceptual expectations, reference frames.
